Okay, girlfriend. Deep breath. We made it.
We are officially at the end of our Armor of God series — and wow, what a journey it’s been! Can we just have a quick standing ovation moment for you?
Because you’ve made it through every single piece: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and finally, the sword of the Spirit. Ummm... that’s kind of a big deal.
So before we tie this all up with a pretty little bow, letʼs head to Ephesians 6 and reread the Armor of God section in completion.
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Man, that is so powerful. Isn’t it?
So here’s the million-dollar question: what do you do with all of this now?
Like, are you supposed to picture yourself suiting up in invisible armor every morning like a holy warrior princess? Honestly... yes!
That’s kind of exactly the idea. Because here’s the truth no one talks about enough: just because you have access to God’s armor doesn’t mean it’s automatically working in your life. You’ve gotta put it on, babe.
It’s not just going to leap out of your Bible and strap itself on like a fashion-forward Transformer.
It’s a daily, intentional choice.
And when you make that choice?
You walk in power.
You walk in victory.
You walk like a girl who knows whose side she’s on — and that side already won.
Now I know life can feel kind of all over the place.
Maybe your math teacher is lowkey your villain origin story.
Maybe your friends are giving you whiplash with their drama.
Or maybe you’re just feeling like you are the problem.
Here’s the thing: you’re not.
That teacher, that friend, even your mood swings and self-doubt — they’re not the real battle.
What you’re feeling in the physical is actually coming from the spiritual.
Yup, I said it.
There’s a spiritual war going on that you can’t see, and the enemy’s #1 goal is to keep you focused on everything else but that.
He wants you blaming people.
Blaming yourself.
Feeling stuck and powerless.
But guess what? That’s why God gave you armor in the first place.
Let’s take a quick sec and run through what that armor actually looks like — because spoiler alert: it’s not just for decoration.
You’ve got the belt of truth, that helps you hold everything together by knowing what God says is true — not your feelings, not culture, not your favorite influencer, just straight truth from God.
Then you’ve got the breastplate of righteousness — that’s like your heart-guard. It protects you when the enemy tries to shame you, lie to you, or remind you of your past.
The shoes of peace help you stand firm and walk confidently, even when life feels shaky or full of drama. Think football cleats, right sis?
The shield of faith? That’s your doubt-deflector. When flaming arrows of fear or insecurity start flying at you, your faith blocks them like a boss. SHIELD UP, babe.
Then there’s the helmet of salvation — girl, protect that mindset! Knowing who you are and whose you are keeps your thoughts from spiraling.
And finally, the sword of the Spirit — your one offensive weapon. Right?
This isn’t for playing nice.
It’s for clapping back at the enemy with truth and confidence, just like Jesus did when he said, “It is written.”
But wait — there’s one more piece.
One final thing Paul mentions in Ephesians 6 after listing all that powerful armor. Can you guess what it is?
PRAYER.
Isnʼt that so fascinating? We go through all 6 pieces of armor, but to wrap up this entire section, God points us to PRAYER.
Yup. He says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”
All occasions.
All kinds.
No filter, no fancy words required.
PRAY.
Now, don’t roll your eyes or check out. This is the power move that brings it all together. And I know some of you honestly dread prayer. Like, I donʼt even think God is listening.
But let me say this again.
Prayer, my friend, is your power source.
Without it, the armor stays in the closet.
Think of prayer like plugging in your phone.
You might have the newest, cutest phone case in the world — pink glitter, wireless charging, all the things — but if you don’t charge it, it’s useless. Isnʼt it?
Same with your spiritual life.
Prayer is your plug-in.
Your energy boost.
Your hotline to heaven.
Because once the armor’s on, prayer is what activates it.
It’s not just the cherry on top—it’s the secret sauce that makes the whole thing work.
Did I make that clear enough?
Let’s be real: spiritual battles don’t always look spiritual. Sometimes they look like a bad grade, a weird vibe with your friends, or your mom not letting you go to the sleepover.
But here's the truth: what’s happening in your everyday life is actually a reflection of what’s going on in the spiritual realm.
That fight with your bestie? That self-doubt creeping in late at night? That moment when you feel so alone even in a crowded room? Yep—that’s spiritual warfare.
And Satan LOVES when we blame people or things we can see.
He’s sneaky like that.
He wants you to believe your coach is the villain.
Or that YOU are the problem.
But girl, you’re not the problem—you’re the target.
Because the enemy knows that if you ever start living like the warrior God made you to be, he’s in trouble.
So what do you do when the spiritual battle shows up in real-life chaos?
You pray.
You suit up.
You speak the Word.
And you fight back—with your whole armor on.
Again…
Ephesians 6:18 tells us to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” That means before math class, after practice, in the car, in the hallway, when you wake up, when you’re about to lose it.
Prayer isn’t just a bedtime ritual—it’s a lifestyle. You don’t need to overthink it.
Very simply, prayer is a vibe check for your spirit.
Now I know what you’re thinking. “Ummm… how do I even pray?” If prayer still feels awkward or confusing to you — guess what?
That’s totally okay. It’s not about saying the right words; it’s about talking to the right Person.
It's not about a script — it's about a relationship.
Think of it like texting your BFF. You wouldn’t overthink every word — you’d just talk.
And that’s exactly what God wants from you.
Prayer can be quick (“Help me, Lord!”), deep (“God, I don’t understand but I trust You”), silly (“Lord, please help me not trip in front of my crush”), or serious (“God, I need Your peace right now”).
The important thing is to keep the convo going.
Minute by minute.
Like you’re walking through your day with your Heavenly Father at your side — because you are.
And here’s the wildest part: God wants to answer your prayers.
He’s just waiting for you to ask. James 4:2 tells us, “You do not have because you do not ask God.”
Girl, don’t let your blessings stay stuck in heaven because you forgot to send the request!
But let’s get real for a second. Some prayers? God answers like that.
Others?
He takes His time.
That doesn’t mean He’s not listening.
It just means He sees more than you do.
Some battles are quick wins. Others are long, drawn-out spiritual wars.
Either way, keep praying.
Keep trusting.
And don’t be afraid to pray for God to clear the spiritual path too — because Satan is sneaky, and sometimes he tries to block the blessings that are on their way to you.
Now let’s talk about what happens when you don’t put on your armor.
Honestly? Life gets soggy.
Think of it like walking in the rain without an umbrella.
You don’t stop the storm, right? — but you do stop it from soaking you.
The armor of God doesn’t mean you won’t face battles — it means the battles won’t destroy you.
That’s what prayer and alertness are all about: staying covered, even when the skies turn dark.
And I get it — sometimes, it’s just too much. You can’t remember all the armor pieces. You’re overwhelmed. It’s been a day. If that’s you, sweet girl, here’s your shortcut: Jesus. Just say His name.
Because in Jesus, you get the full outfit.
The belt, the breastplate, the shoes, the shield, the helmet, and the sword — all in one. When the enemy shows up at your door, you don’t need to panic.
You just say: “Step aside, Satan. I’m covered by Jesus.”
Boom.
Armor ON.
But listen — Jesus doesn’t dress you.
He offers the armor. Your job is to suit up.
So here’s your glow-up checklist, warrior girl:
Wake up and put on that armor intentionally.
Talk to God all day long — in the little stuff and the big stuff.
Know your Scripture, and speak it like a boss.
Trust that the battle belongs to the Lord — and you already have the victory.
And don’t forget: prayer isn’t just for the tough days.
It’s for the great ones too.
So build that habit now, not just when you’re in crisis.
Practice while you’re strong, so when the storm hits — you’re ready.
Alright, now yaʼll know Iʼm totally about practicality, so letʼs run through a few, super simple examples to help you visualize this prayer thing before we close out for today.
Examples:
You’re nervous about lunch because your usual crew is acting distant. Pray. “God, be near. I donʼt want to feel alone, help me to walk into the lunch room today with confidence, suited up.”
You’re about to walk into a test and your brain is blanking. Pray. “God, my mind is foggy, bring clarity in the name of Jesus and help me to focus, recalling what I already know.”
Your mom’s in a mood and you’re about to snap. Girl. Pray. “Lord, you tell me to honor my mom. That feels really hard right now, give me patience to be loving and kind.”
Babe, these are not big, fancy, grown-up sounding prayers.
Honestly, it could be as simple as: “God, help.” “God, be with me.” “God, I trust You.” That's it.
Prayer isn’t a backup plan—it’s your battle plan.
And when you pray, you are literally inviting heaven to show up in your everyday.
Let’s not forget what James 5:16 says: “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
That’s YOU.
You, with your imperfect life, your loud laugh, your big dreams, your awkward moments—you’re the righteous person when you belong to Jesus and keep your heart focused on Him.
Now before I leave you today, I want to leave you with a little reflection and journaling moment, letʼs call it our ARMOR CHECK!
Find a quiet spot, grab your journal (or the Notes app — I see you 👀), and answer these heart check questions. No filters. Just you, your thoughts, and God.
1. Which piece of the Armor of God do I need the most right now — and why? (Is it truth? Peace? Faith? Maybe the sword of the Spirit?)
2. When was the last time I really talked to God about what’s going on in my life? How did that feel? (Be honest — even if it felt awkward, rushed, or amazing.)
3. What lie has the enemy been trying to whisper to me lately? What’s God’s truth that I can replace it with? (Pro tip: Find a verse that speaks truth and write it big, bold, and beautiful.)
4. What’s one small prayer I can say every morning this week to start my day covered in armor? (Keep it simple! Something like: “God, suit me up and lead me today.”)
5. Who in my life needs prayer right now — and how can I be the girl who prays it forward for them? (Text them, write it down, or whisper it to God right now.)
And finally, write a quick note to Jesus. Tell Him where you're struggling, where you're growing, and thank Him for the victory that’s already yours.
Bonus Challenge: Armor Up Alarm! Set a daily reminder on your phone with this message: “Hey warrior! Time to pray + put on that armor."
Trust me, future you will thank you.
Ok, I promise I am about to land this plane, but I would be doing you a disservice if I didnʼt close out with this one single sentence.
It is your choice. Iʼm gonna say it again, THIS IS YOUR CHOICE.
Do not walk away from this episode until you really sit in that reality.
This is all up to you.
Whether or not you walk through life covered, in Godʼs armor, or exposed to the enemyʼs schemes.
You choose whether you’ll shove this armor under your bed like last year’s school supplies…
Or if you’ll wake up every day, throw it on, pick up your sword, and step into victory.
Remember, Satan doesnʼt want you to know that the armor has already been given and the victory is already yours.
So stinking PUT IT ON.
This week, this is your battle cry, your mic drop, your holy-girl-warrior anthem:
Step aside, Satan. Jesus has me covered.I’m protected.I’m armed.I’m prayed up.And I’m walking in victory. Period.
Because when you’re prayed up and armored up, there’s nothing—NOTHING—the enemy can throw at you that you can’t face.
WHEWWWWWWWW! That was a lot, wasnʼt it?
But, I am so proud of you, babe. Like, FR. You just walked through the armor of God, LIKE A BOSS. And even though this is the end, itʼs actually just the beginning, isnʼt it?
Because now?
You’re equipped.
You’re dangerous to the enemy.
You’re standing firm in truth.
And you’ve got the power of heaven backing you up.
So sling that sword over your shoulder, girl.
Raise that shield.
Lace up those peace shoes, and tighten your belt of truth.
Because wherever you walk today, you’re not just walking into the world… you’re walking in victory.
And always remember...
It. Is. Written.
Now…I know you thought we were done, but can you hang tight for 2 more minutes. Because I want to have a moment.
A moment for how amazing this first season of FR, Let’s Talk has been?!
Can I just say WOW, you girls have seriously amazed me with your questions, your big hearts, and how brave you’ve been in going after God. And I cannot believe that we’re already heading into the last six episodes of the season!
These past few months? Total highlight reel of my life.
From tackling big Bible stuff to laughing through awkward moments, it’s been like sitting on the couch with your big sis, talking about Jesus in our cozy socks and messy buns.
And guess what? We’re not done yet.
So here’s the scoop: for our last six episodes of Season 1, we’re flipping the script just a little bit.
We’re still keeping our signature Q&A vibe—so YES, keep sending those juicy questions—but we’re also zooming out a bit to talk about some big-picture stuff that every girl growing up with faith in today’s world needs to hear.
Think:
- How to actually follow Jesus when your feed is full of everything but Him
- How to handle mean girls, messy friendships, and finding your people
- What to do when your thoughts feel way too loud and your confidence feels way too small
- How to know if it’s God talking… or just your own brain
- Why your purpose isn’t just some “someday” dream but a right-now mission
- And yes girl, we’re going there: crushes, dating, and what God really wants for your heart
I’m SO pumped for these last few episodes. We’re gonna laugh, we might tear up, but most of all—we’re gonna grow in big, beautiful, brave ways.
So don’t go anywhere, bestie. This ride isn’t over just yet.
Keep writing in. Keep asking your questions. And get ready for a strong, sparkly finish to Season 1!
We’re heading full speed toward our final episode dropping July 1st, and then we’ll hit pause for a hot sec before Season 2 launches this September—totally refreshed and ready to go even deeper.
So while we take that little breather, I’m handing the mic to YOU: go spread the word, rally your girls, and let’s make some serious noise for what’s coming next.
Season 2 is gonna be FIRE and I want you and your crew front and center!
